Review : The Locket by Stacey Jay (spoiler free) !

Goodreads : On her seventeenth birthday, Katie discovers a locket and decides to wear it for good luck. But when her boyfriend Isaac finds out she cheated on him— with their mutual best friend Mitch, no less—he dumps her, leaving her devastated.
And then a miracle happens. The locket burns on Katie's chest and she feels herself going back two weeks in time, to the night she cheated with Mitch. At first, Kate is delighted to be a better girlfriend to Isaac this time around. But as other aspects of her life become inexplicably altered, she realizes that changing the past may have had a dangerous effect on her present.
Can she make things right before the locket destroys everything—and everyone—she loves?

My thoughts : It was a very nice and quick read !I started it yesterday and finished it today.  The plot was interesting and I couldn't drop the book, I just had to know what happened .. The characters were very likeable : I especially loved Mitch (one of the 2 main male characters) and Katie ( the main protagonist). She was very easy to relate to ..
This magic locket was very puzzling and I found the story quite uncommon : the locket actually enables Katie to go back in the past (2 weeks back). So, the book deals with time travel (but not through centuries, as I just said) a theme  I particularly enjoy. The ending was good but not awesome (quite predictable but still pretty good).
The Locket reminded me (a little) of Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver, so you may want to try this one if you liked Lauren's book, and vice versa !!
I have no idea if there will be a sequel but according to me there won't because everything is kind of solved at the end of the book .. But I'll ask the author though and let you know !!

My rating :
Plot : ★★
Characters : ★★
Ending : ★★
Cover : ★
Writing : ★★★
