Quick Review : Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols

Goodreads : All Meg has ever wanted is to get away. Away from high school. Away from her backwater town. Away from her parents who seem determined to keep her imprisoned in their dead-end lives. But one crazy evening involving a dare and forbidden railroad tracks, she goes way too far...and almost doesn't make it back.
John made a choice to stay. To enforce the rules. To serve and protect. He has nothing but contempt for what he sees as childish rebellion, and he wants to teach Meg a lesson she won't soon forget. But Meg pushes him to the limit by questioning everything he learned at the police academy. And when he pushes back, demanding to know why she won't be tied down, they will drive each other to the edge -- and over....

My thoughts :
It was an awesome read. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't put it down. I've actually spend a big part of my night reading Going Too Far. The characters felt so real and Jennifer succeeded in making them interesting from the beginning down to the very end. We discover 2 major things about the two main protagonists around the 3/4 of the book and I wasn't expected them at all though they seemed coherent and very well thought. Meg and John are so different and it's pretty hard to picture them together when you first meet them but it felt like they were good to each other and completed each other.
Jennifer's writing is very fluent and that's what makes it hard to stop reading this book. =)

Overall, if you enjoy reading a perfectly-written contemporary romance then you should definitely go buy this book now.
