Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.
When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.
My thoughts : This book was one of the best YA books I've ever read, I absolutely loved it and there's no way I'm going to write a coherent review or do this book justice so I'll keep it short. I'm sooo addicted to this series : if you read my review of Half-Blood in April you know how much I found this book AMAZING. Well to me, Pure was even more than that : there's no way this book could have been more perfect. The characters, the mythology, the romance, the creepy world (yeah to me it's a bit creepy because of the laws, the Breed Order ..) Jennifer L. Armentrout has created are definitely among my favourites.
Alex is a great heroin : she's just sooo brave and I don't know what to add because I simply adore her !
Aiden OMG Aiden ... I know lots of people who've read Pure are Team Seth but I'm definitely rooting for Aiden and Alex. Seth is awesome too and but if I had to choose who I'd rather Alex to end up with, that'd have to be Aiden.
Pure was unputdownable and it was the kind of book that you foce yourself to stop reading because you want to save some for later ..I really can't say enough positive things about this book and I'm truly at a loss for words when it comes to this book , it was amazing and I'm very sad to have finished reading Pure. The wait until Deity is going to be awfully long ...
